The Moment

There is a moment. 

In that moment, everything changes.

In a flash, you see things clearly. You know what has to happen. 

You can feel it land inside you. Click...

And you can never forget what you saw and felt; You can't un-know it. 

From that moment, it's only a matter of time, and only a question of commitment. 

Because from the outside looking in, everything looks the same. The circumstances of your life haven't changed...yet.

This decision- because that's what it really is, whether you realized it or not- might not make sense to the people around you, or even make sense to YOU yet. 

It probably challenges the ideas you had for what your life would be. 

It might offend the people around you. They may try to make you wrong or paint you as the crazy one. 

They'll probably try to talk you out of it. You will likely try to talk yourself out of it from time to time.

Don't buy into the doubt!

You can try to explain, but the reality is that those who get it will get it, and those who don't, wont. And that's ok. 

You don't need to explain yourself to anyone. 

They don't need to understand. You don't even need to understand. Not fully anyway. 

All you have to do is remember what you know, and not back down; to decide and re-decide.  

Remember...

That moment was just the beginning. The months or years that follow are a dance of playing it out and finding your way; The diligent effort of patience, lots of self-love, and countless little decisions to bring it into being. 

When you look back, you'll remember the moment that everything changed...

And the faith it took to make it happen.
